    Abstract

    In June a German V2-rocket exploded and crashed in Bäckebo in the province of Småland in southern Sweden. Technically the rocket represented the most modern the world had seen at the time. It laid the foundation for future space flights as well as for the fear of missiles of the Cold War. Today the incident in Bäckebo is largely forgotten or is unknown to people in Sweden.     Trädgården kan beskrivas som dels en liten &#;cottage garden&#;, någorlunda skyddad för hårda vindar och dels för väder och vind mer utsatt naturtomt vid Östersjöns strand. I den skyddade delen finns rikligt med perenner och en del mindre träd och buskar och en liten grönsaksträdgård. Vi har ett hundratal rosor, gammaldags, moderna, samt ett par lokala hitterosor.

    Vår trädgård är en typisk &#;försommarträdgård&#; belägen i Mönsterås. Torra somrar, bevattningsförbud och trädgård är ingen bra kombination, men under våren och försommar finns många olika pioner och en hel del lite udda perenner.
